If all goes well – no cloud in our way and BA’s cabin crew’s kind enough to serve us on board – we will be off on Monday, 31st May! Washington D.C. will be our first destination. The Brown family will be our lovely hosts and we can’t wait to see them again after almost a year!
Packing for the four of us seems to be an easy task compared to the organisation needed to put our lives on-hold for three months. The to-do lists finally get shorter, the packing list longer...
So far we managed to
• get Lucy’s passport in time
• get the visas or ‘granted entry’ for the US and AUS
• get the travel vaccinations
• put together a decent travel first-aid kit
• have a few ‘fare well’ drinks... more to come though.....
Still need
• to check the BA flights on a daily basis – is the strike on or off?
• to get a haircut
• to buy some ‘can’t live without’ cosmetics
• to sort out the Viet Nam visa
• more ‘fare well’ drinks!
